Tineli touring with TourXOz
Tineli touring with TourXOz - taming the Black Dog
Talk to a cyclist and they'll tell you riding is a great way to keep fit, reduce emissions and save on the hip pocket.
Speak to anyone experiencing depression and the usual comment is that riding a bike is an effective and natural remedy for their condition.
Which is why clothing manufacturer, Tineli is supporting the TourXOz Adelaide to Darwin cycle event this October, 2015.
Sixty riders, eight days, 3,650kms through the centre of Australia raising funds for the Black Dog Institute, an organisation that researches, diagnoses and treats mental mood disorders and depression.
Dressed in their Tineli finery, the bunch of cyclists will be stopping in rural towns to talk to local communities about the impact of mental illness.
Mental health is fast becoming a number one priority. Its a bipartisan concern for government and opposition agreeing that more needs to be done to alleviate the issues surrounding mental health and this requires increased support services and funding.
Tineli is helping by supporting TourXOz as a major sponsor. The cyclists are helping by grinding their way through the Australian landscape to make a difference.
